TweetFacebookBEACH WATCHSoutherly winds for the weekend making for messy conditions at most breaks. Just the odd protected corner for some smaller cleaner waves. Bigger morning high tides may suit the south-facing reefs.Swell from the south-east to south at 1.5 to 2.5 metres. Wind from the south, moderate to strong at times.Cooler mornings and only the super keen out today. Try Merewether and Dixon first up. Nobbys bank on the lower tides;Dudley and Blacksmiths to the south;Stockton and Fingal to the north.Poor swimming conditions and likely to have a few beaches closed with red flags up. Shallow gutters in close and sweeps in southern corners. The water temperature is on 20 degrees.
